Can my insurance company tell me where to have my car repaired?

According to section 2610 of the New York State Insurance Law, you have the right as the owner of your vehicle or as the lessee to have your vehicle inspected and repaired at the auto body shop of your choice. In fact, if you have not reported the claim to your insurance company, come straight to Don Joe Auto Body of Great Neck, NY and we will take care of the claim process for you.

Do you work with my insurance company?

Don Joe Auto Body works with all insurance companies. We are a Full Claims Center, which means that we work directly with the insurance company, from start to finish, on all aspects of the repair. This includes processing the initial claim, assisting with paperwork and getting the estimate. We want our customers to feel worry free.

If I received an estimate directly from my insurance company, but the amount seems to low, do I have to accept the estimate?

The initial estimate you receive from the insurance company only reflects their visual inspection. Insurance companies know that there will be additional parts and labor needed beyond their initial estimate. Their estimate is not the final estimate for the repairs. Once the vehicle arrives at Don Joe Auto Body, we remove damaged parts and do a more thorough inspection. At this point, if necessary, we contact the insurance company and let them know about any extra labor, materials and/or parts that are necessary. That’s why once your vehicle is in Don Joe’s hands, you can relax and trust it’s with the best.

If my car has structural damage, can it be repaired?

Yes, it can. Don Joe Auto Body uses the latest in structure repair and alignment equipment as well as factory OEM repair procedures to restore your vehicle back to manufacturers specifications.

I was in a collision and am unable to drive my car. What should I do?

Call Don Joe Auto Body: 516-466-2828. We offer 24-hour emergency towing and can fulfill all your towing needs. Our drivers are trained and certified to provide full-service towing and are especially knowledgeable on how to tow luxury cars. Additionally, we are approved and certified as recognized collision repair by the following manufacturers, which makes us experts in handling these vehicles:

Do I need to make an appointment to obtain an estimate?

No. Customers do not need to make an appointment to obtain an estimate. Just come in to Don Joe Auto Body, during regular business hours and we’re happy to help. Our regular business hours are:

Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday: 7:30 AM to Noon

If I don’t have time to bring in my car, can Don Joe Auto Body pick it up?

Of course. We offer courtesy pick up and delivery of all vehicles. Just call Don Joe Auto Body at 516-466-2828 to schedule a time that fits into your day.

Do you offer car rentals during repairs?

In order to provide the utmost in convivence to our customers, Don Joe Auto Body has Enterprise Rental Cars located on site. Should you need to rent a car while your vehicle is in for repairs, we are happy to provide you with this service.
